Compatible Devices
The following devices have been tested by staff or community members and should work with built-in drivers. More devices may be compatible, even if not officially supported.
To add a Z-Wave, Zigbee, or Matter device to Hubitat, use the Devices > Add Device page:
Other types of devices (LAN/cloud, etc.) may vary. Some are added via an integration app, whereas others may be manually added similarly to a virtual device. Consult documentation for such devices for more information.
Devices User Interface
Manually controlling or viewing the state of a device in Hubitat is done via the Devices item in the sidebar. Selecting a device from the list will take you to the Device Detail Page for that device.
The device detail page is good for testing functionality but is not the best method for day-to-day manual control of a device. For that, check out the Devices tab in the mobile app, use Easy Dashboard or Hubitat Dashboard, or find some way to automate your device with an app instead.
Third-Party Device Documentation
Some other (not Zigbee, Z-Wave, or Matter, which can be added as above) kinds of devices — including many LAN or cloud devices or services, Bluetooth, or HomeKit — have an integration app. Others have a a built-in driver only and may require special setup.
